Alejandro Toledo, former President of Peru (2001–2006), faces multiple legal proceedings and allegations of corruption; in 2024, he was sentenced to 20 years in prison for accepting $35 million in bribes from Odebrecht to award a highway contract, and in 2025, he received an additional 13-year sentence in a related case (ANDINA, Wikipedia).
