Chokwe Antar Lumumba

Chokwe Antar Lumumba, the Mayor of Jackson, Mississippi, is currently a defendant in a federal public corruption case stemming from an FBI undercover operation known as Operation Capitol Matters. In November 2024, Lumumba was indicted on five federal charges: conspiracy, federal program bribery, use of an interstate facility in aid of racketeering, honest services wire fraud, and money laundering.
