Danielle Bethell

Danielle Bethell is a Marion County Commissioner and candidate for the Republican nomination for Oregon governor. Her record includes the following ethics matters: In June 2025, Bethell received a letter of education from the Oregon Government Ethics Commission for violating open meetings laws regarding a homeless alliance board on which she served. As of May 2026, Bethell faces two ongoing, active ethics investigations: One concerns a September 2025 vote on a water project contract that benefited a firm employing her son. An ethics commission review found she should have declared an actual conflict of interest and abstained, rather than declaring a possible conflict as advised by county counsel.
