Erico Galeano, un exsenador paraguayo del Partido Colorado, fue condenado en 2026 a 13 años de prisión por los delitos de lavado de dinero y asociación criminal en el marco del operativo A Ultranza Py. La justicia determinó que Galeano brindó apoyo logístico a una red transnacional de narcotráfico liderada por Sebastián Marset y Miguel Ángel Insfrán, alias Tío Rico, facilitándoles el uso de su aeronave privada. Adicionalmente, el tribunal probó que Galeano blanqueó fondos ilícitos mediante la venta de una residencia en Altos por un millón de dólares en efectivo y a través de inversiones en el Club Deportivo Capiatá, entidad que presidió. Aunque la defensa alegó persecución política e interpuso recursos de casación e inconstitucionalidad, el fallo de primera instancia del 4 de marzo de 2026 fue ratificado por un Tribunal de Apelaciones el 4 de mayo de 2026. Galeano renunció a su banca el 12 de mayo de 2026 y actualmente cumple prisión preventiva.
