Jair Bolsonaro, President of Brazil from 2019 to 2022, has faced numerous legal challenges and investigations. In September 2025, the Supreme Court sentenced him to 27 years and 3 months in prison for leading a conspiracy to stage a coup d'état to remain in power after his 2022 election defeat.
