Jared Kushner

Jared Kushner is currently an American businessman and Special Envoy for Peace. Regarding his involvement in Albania, he is linked to a proposed multi-billion dollar luxury resort project on Sazan Island and the Zvërnec region. This project has triggered widespread public protests and an investigation by Albania’s Special Anti-Corruption Structure (SPAK) into the government's permitting, environmental rule changes, and land ownership procedures. While the property seller, Artur Shehu, is under criminal investigation for alleged drug trafficking, money laundering, and document falsification, Albanian authorities have stated the current probe does not target companies associated with Kushner. Kushner himself has not been charged with any wrongdoing regarding these developments. Throughout his prior career, Kushner faced scrutiny regarding conflicts of interest during his time as a White House senior advisor and was investigated as part of the Mueller probe into the 2016 election, though he was never charged with a crime.
