In March 2022, the Hawai‘i State Ethics Commission resolved an investigation into Jarrett Keohokalole regarding the misuse of state funds. Keohokalole admitted to three instances between 2018 and 2020 where he paid for travel expenses and town hall food using campaign funds, subsequently requested and received reimbursements from his state legislative allowance, and mistakenly deposited those state reimbursements into his personal bank account rather than his campaign fund.
