Jeremy Trebas

Jeremy Trebas is a Montana state senator and small business owner who has served in the state legislature since 2017. In 2018, while serving as a state representative, Trebas was issued a contempt of court order after he attended a closed youth-in-need-of-care court proceeding without permission. Trebas admitted to violating the law and court order, and the presiding judge warned that any further violations would result in jail time. Additionally, Trebas faced public criticism regarding his 2022 purchase of a commercial building in Great Falls. Reports alleged he introduced Senate Bill 195 to exempt his property from mandatory fire sprinkler requirements to avoid costly repairs and increase the building's resale value. The bill was subsequently amended to remove those exemptions before passing, and Trebas later listed the property for sale.
