John Cornyn

John Cornyn has faced several controversies and inquiries throughout his career. That investigation ended in 1992 with no charges filed due to insufficient evidence. Later, he faced criticism for failing to disclose state pension payments while serving as a U.S. senator, which he amended in 2012. Additionally, he has faced scrutiny regarding potential conflicts of interest related to his daughter’s lobbying work for companies like Alibaba and the EB-5 visa program, though these activities were legal under federal ethics rules. Most recently, a PAC associated with him received a standard FEC inquiry regarding missing contribution disclosures, which the PAC addressed by amending its reports.
