Representative Julia Letlow has violated the Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge (STOCK) Act by failing to disclose more than 210 individual stock and bond trades within the legally mandated 45-day window. The violations involved trades potentially worth millions of dollars. Letlow’s office acknowledged the non-compliance, stating that the trades were managed by a third-party firm, Merrill Lynch, which had discretionary authority and did not consult her. Letlow self-reported these late filings to the House Committee on Ethics in October 2025 after retaining legal counsel to review her accounts. The committee subsequently waived the standard $200 late filing penalty. There are no reports of criminal indictments, charges, bribery convictions, or formal findings of corruption against her.
