There are no reported instances of indictments, convictions, fraud, bribery, or financial misconduct regarding Kathie Tovo. During her 2011 campaign, opponent Randi Shade filed ethics complaints alleging that Tovo failed to include required disclosures on a supporter's email and that the value of an email distribution list exceeded contribution limits. The Austin Ethics Review Commission dismissed a related complaint for lack of jurisdiction. In 2014, Tovo filed a correction affidavit for a campaign finance report to include the employer and occupation of one donor and to correctly categorize an out-of-state PAC contribution.
