Moshe Kahlon

Moshe Kahlon served as Israel’s Minister of Finance from 2015 to 2020. Following his retirement from politics, he became chairman of the non-bank credit company Unet Credit in June 2021. In May 2026, Kahlon was convicted by the Tel Aviv District Court of securities-reporting offenses as part of a plea bargain. The case centered on his failure to disclose material financial irregularities discovered at the company's Nazareth branch—including missing funds and check discrepancies—to the board of directors and the public for several months in 2022. Kahlon was sentenced to an eight-month suspended prison term, a fine of NIS 180,000, and an 18-month ban from serving as an officer in a public company.
