Randall Terry is an American activist, politician, and author known for founding the anti-abortion organization Operation Rescue. Throughout his career, he has been arrested more than 40 times for activities related to his activism.
In 1993, Terry was sentenced to five months in federal prison for criminal contempt of court after he organized a protest at the 1992 Democratic National Convention where a fetus was presented to Bill Clinton, violating a federal court injunction. In 1998, after being named in a class-action lawsuit (NOW v. Scheidler), Terry filed for bankruptcy to avoid paying court-ordered fines to clinics.
