Tommy Tuberville is a U.S. Senator from Alabama and former college football coach. Public controversies regarding his career include the following: In 2021, an investigation revealed Tuberville failed to disclose approximately 130 stock and stock-option transactions within the 45-day deadline mandated by the STOCK Act. An ethics complaint was filed with the Senate Select Committee on Ethics, but no public record exists of a finding or fine. Tuberville faces an ongoing residency challenge regarding his 2026 gubernatorial bid. Critics point to records showing he voted in Florida in 2018—the same year he claimed Alabama residency—and maintained an active Florida driver’s license until 2023.
