Volodymyr Zelenskyy

Volodymyr Zelenskyy has not been personally charged with, nor is he the subject of, any investigations by Ukrainian law enforcement agencies. Under Ukrainian law, a sitting president is immune from criminal prosecution. He has been linked to public controversy through the actions of his close associates. Specifically, his former chief of staff, Andriy Yermak, was charged with money laundering in May 2026 in connection with the Midas/Energoatom corruption scandal involving a luxury housing project known as Dynasty. Other associates, including former business partner Tymur Mindich, have been implicated as ringleaders in multimillion-dollar kickback schemes at the state-owned nuclear company Energoatom. While leaked wiretap transcripts have fueled public speculation regarding the president's potential involvement—specifically regarding a home potentially intended for him—the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) has explicitly stated that Zelenskyy is not a subject of their investigations.
