Louisiana Second Party Primary and Municipal General Election
Louisiana voters will return to the polls for the party primary runoff and municipal general election. The runoff elections will include 2nd party primary races for the offices of U.S. Senate, Board of Elementary and Secondary Education, and Public Service Commission.
Voters will choose the Republican and Democratic nominees for U.S. Senate.
Voters will choose the candidates for Board of Elementary and Secondary Education.
Voters will choose the candidates for Public Service Commission.
Voters will choose candidates for municipal offices in some parishes.
U.S. Rep. Julia Letlow is considered the favorite in the U.S. Senate race. She earned her bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Louisiana Monroe and her doctorate from the University of South Florida.
State Treasurer John Fleming is running against Julia Letlow in the Republican runoff for U.S. Senate.
- Voters who did not vote in the May election can vote in the June party runoff for U.S. senator.
- Those who are 'no party' will have to declare which party they want to vote for, if they want to vote for U.S. Senator.
